ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Luke Aaron is an american designer who launched his eponymous fashion brand in 2011.  HIS WORK EXPRESSES AN appreciation for past tradition while embracing modern reinterpretation.  Trained in costume design at the prestigious Yale School of Drama, His story-teller approach creates a visual narrative through each SEASON in which the wearer becomes the muse.

inspired by the storied ateliers of a bygone era, he opened an appointment-only studio creating handmade ready-to-wear and bespoke clothing for a discerning Boston clientele.  Initially known only by word-of-mouth, his work gained exposure after he was selected to participate in a juried runway show in 2012 presented by Boston Magazine.  Entitled Mid-Century Origami, this collection of elaborately draped 1950s-era silhouettes was immediately embraced by local media.  He was subsequently named the Best Designer in Boston the next year.  A mixture of refined separates, versatile dresses and dramatic gowns, the collection soon developed a following amongst fashion-forward brides and wedding attendees.   Additional shows in Boston and New York followed.  After a successful presentation during New York Fashion Week in 2014, the line was picked up by exclusive Japanese bridal salon Granmanie.  This brought THE DESIGNER'S unique Modern Romantic aesthetic to Tokyo’s renown Ginza district.  The brand continued to garner praise, earning an additional Best in Boston Award (Boston Magazine), two Boston’s Best Awards (Improper Bostonian) and a Best of Boston Weddings Award (Boston Weddings Magazine). In recognition of his contribution to Boston’s design scene, Boston Common Magazine named Luke Aaron one of  the Top Ten Reasons to Fall Madly in Love with Boston All Over Again.  While the studio is no longer open to the public, THE BRAND CONTINUES TO CATER TO PRIVATE CLIENTS and EXPAND ITS reach through partnerships with like-minded retailers.  PLEASE FILL OUT AN INQUIRY FORM ONLINE TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT AT ONE OF OUR RETAIL PARTNERS.
